Pick to Ship Releases and the new support project
Special thanks to Ranjith for letting/helping the team grow under his leadership:
- Jernic has been managing the development activities including customer interaction very well along with Imran.
- George has proactively highlighted critical issues like Wave configuration issues to the customer.
- Jeslin and Divya have automated the pick to ship process - In the process have gained sufficient domain knowledge.
- Mahiba and Dharma have contributed to the performance improvement during their time away from ORMB
Asir having signed the pick to Ship and Memphis support contract, Imran and team (Dharma, Nidhya, Divya, George) have been leading the support effort with passion and have turned around all of the tickets which have been assigned to the team so far.
I was informed that Pick to Ship Release 3 Pipeline is almost finalized and is under review. Congrats to everyone for your efforts, which are resulting in new projects.
I would like additionally thank Ranjith for making himself available during his night time (11 PM to 2 AM) and help find the RCA for Production Outage in Globus whereby all picking/shipping operations were down for around 4 hours due to a OCI Site to Site VPN issue in Ashburn.
Geoffrey (from Globus) was very appreciative of Imran’s support during this (Priority 1) Downtime, where in he helped Globus process the huge number of backlog orders in Legacy and Android Devices outside his shift hours
Automation as a use case
We have been able to pitch ACRA to Globus via an opportunity that we received to deploy a QA resource. Special thanks to Jeslin for successfully automating the entire flow. I am expecting positive responses for our pitch.
LPA support and LPA Nice Label upgrade
Meera and Nigitha have been able to successfully manage LPA/Legacy Device Support and LPA NL Upgrade Project. LPA - NL Upgrade which is considered very challenging is almost close to completion, thanks to Meera and Nigitha’s effort.
Collaboration with ACRA Team
Blesso, Kowsalya, Easwar, Cilja, Merwin, Altrin and Nanda have been able to devote their time to ACRA (while they have found some spare time away from Globus Projects) Following are the features which are expected to be rolled out soon in ACRA and they are going to be of great value:
- Jar signing,
- Mobile and Desktop Automation,
- Plugin Development - For ACRA Marketplace
- Dynamic Action Library
I would like to thank the entire team, but specifically would like to thank Blesso and Easwar for having managed the team and processes well to keep it transparent. They have been able to contribute for minor Globus Projects like SFTP and have also been able to devote themselves for ACRA implementation [for Martin Marietta]
AI agent for uVida
Mahiba has successfully developed an AI agent for uVida which is currently deployed at the customer environment and is under testing. This is our first AI delivery to any customer. Altrin did help dockerise the AI application very quickly on a very short notice. I am thankful to both Mahiba and Altrin for having brought the project to completion.
Holding the fort!
Brinda along with Rinosni and Abina, have consistently managed Pathlock inspite of reduced interest from the customer, while also being able to contribute for other projects.
I have been asked by Pathlock to let them know of any important features which was implemented as part of QCloud maintenance, so that they can communicate the same to their user group! This may be a sign of “growth to come” for the QCloud team and am awaiting to see the future!
Games!
I had only one volunteer who responded to my request to do something in the Monthly meeting and he did great conducting the Villagers Vs Ware wolves Game. It did break the ice and helped people to participate! I enjoyed, so did everyone I believe.
Easwar,
Thank you!
Appreciation for GCP Trainers and Organizer
I would like to thank Vijila for organizing GCP trainings which I thought was very well executed. I am also thankful to the people who led the training inspite of their busy schedule.
Vijila and all the trainers, I want you to know that your effort has been useful in building the necessary GCP infrastructure for Valuvox and upskilling many of your colleagues.
Jaculin, thanks for implementing GCP implementation for Valuvox seamlessly. Appreciate it!
Thanks to Hannah, for streaming the Valuvox development process and getting things under control.
Last but not the least
Finally, would like to thank Hannah once again for persisting and supporting the teams and letting the teams to self manage projects.
Opportunities ahead
I firmly believe there are great opportunities around us. I keep hearing about ETL/integration and AI opportunities. Also, with extremely great team we have, I am confident of new support and development opportunities coming our way especially considering very positive feedback I receive about our team.
